Peter Barrett graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in Management and then served 3 years as a U.S. Naval Officer. He then began his Hospitality career and worked for several major Hotel and Restaurant chains in various progressive management positions. In his most recent corporate position he was Vice President/General Manager responsible for 125 hotels and restaurants. He was responsible for Operations, Business Development, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, Financial, Franchising, and Real Estate.

Barrett also served as a Director on numerous Hospitality Association Boards throughout the United States, taught college courses in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and is a Certified Hotel Administrator, C.H.A., (an American Hotel and Motel Association designation.)

In 1984, he founded Peter Barrett and Associates, Inc., a consulting group specializing in Management Consulting in the Hospitality Industry.

In 1988, the firm added Executive Search.

In 2000, BHS was selected to become a member firm of the prestigious Cornerstone International Group.

In 2002, BHS, at the request of its clients, became active in the acquisition of hotels.

In 2004, became a Developer's Representative bringing restaurant and retail stores to new developments.
